Summary/Abstract: The first attemps of the cinematographic transmission of the talking picture were achieved beginning with the year 1897, in the Warner Bros studios, with the help of an apparatus called gramophone, which had the capacity to render the illusion of the sound superposition, being produced, most of the time, in the cinema hall, with the image projected on a screen. There can be numerous exemples of this kind, but as far as the film of the fantastic inspiration is concerned, we could mention the production called Le Lys de la vie, in the year 1920, directed by Gabrielle Sorère and by Loie Fuller. The first film premiere accompanied by a soundtrack, at the international level, Don Juan, directed by Alan Crosland, took place in New York, on the 16ᵗᵗͪ of August, 1926. The social ascension of the movie starts around the years 1930-1940, a favourable moment for the appearance of the sound, which is followed by the cognition of an another medium, the television, that contributed to the reproduction of the movies through a controlled perception, which will impose, almost automatically, their selection. During the years 1960-1970, the development of the cinematographic studies takes place. In the year 1980, a culture specific to the audiovisual films is already taken form. With regard to the Romanian cinematography, as a form of materialization of a modern art, we could state that the beginnings of this artistic domain are associated with the production entitled The War of Independence, which appears under Grigore Brezeanu’s coordination, a director as well as a scriptwriter at the National Theatre, who was preocuppied by the thematic subjects of the history of the Romanian film.Another experiment, in this field, belonging to the director Leon Popescu, is the movie The Citadel of Neamț, in the year 1914, representing a spectacle inspired by Costache Negruzzi's short story, Sobiețchi and the romanians, and the movie Sobiețchi and the romanian guards, whose collaborator is Emil Gârleanu, the director of the National Theatre of Craiova.
