Summary/Abstract: This article examines the psychological, neurological, and social aspects of digital addiction within the framework of the modern information society. Starting with the difference between normal use and addictive behavior, the study investigates how digital technologies trigger tolerance, withdrawal, and relapse by activating the brain's reward circuit, especially through excessive dopamine stimulation. Alongside the theoretical boundaries suggested by current research in the domains of psychiatry and psychology, the distinguishing features of behavioral addiction are discussed. The study also emphasizes how the attention economy and the technology sector contribute to the excessive use of digital gadgets. The effects of digital addiction on society and individuals are also examined, including issues with concentration, anxiety, depression, and poor social functioning. In conclusion, the problem of digital addiction is presented as a major contemporary issue that calls for the development of preventative strategies and responsible digital education that are adapted to the new technological realities.
