Summary/Abstract: “The prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him” (James 5:15). Prayer is the fervent desire of the soul to unite itself with God. It is the wondrous key that opens heaven and shuts the bolted gates of hell. It is the ladder by which we ascend toward the Kingdom of God and through which we may be—whenever we wish, wherever we wish, and however we wish—in direct and full communion with our Creator.
