Summary/Abstract: The teaching approach for verb forms in French as a Foreign Language (FLE) must be clear, interactive, and adapted to the learners' level, combining structured explanations, contextualized examples, and progressive activation. Conjugation teaching becomes more effective when it moves beyond the rigid framework of verb lists and is grounded in real-life communicative situations. Verb forms occupy a central position in foreign language acquisition. The learner must first learn to perceive the characteristics of the verb forms in the second language that differ from those of their native language. Only then will they be able to use them correctly in their own writing. Acquiring the French verb system requires considerable time and effort from the learner. Grammatical tenses are embedded in the verb form itself through specific markers. Verb tenses provide information about the verb's temporal value (the placement of the action within a specific time period), aspect, and modal values (the speaker's position in relation to their statement). For learners of French as a foreign language, it is not enough to define the usage values of verb tenses; it is essential to ensure their correct use by describing the situations in which this usage will be relevant. From one language to another, the inventory of verb forms is not the same, and verbal markers do not denote the same semantic values.
