Summary/Abstract: This analysis considers the permissibility of including, within the consolidated text of a statute, information on a judgment of the Constitutional Tribunal published in the Journal of Laws (Dziennik Ustaw) with a preceding annotation – added by the authority issuing the Journal – which identifies legal defects in the judgment. This legal opinion outlines the concept of a consolidated text and its role in the legal system. The analysis also reviews earlier instances of inserting cross-references and explanatory notes into consolidated texts as well as examines the legal consequences of that practice.
