“SCHOOL AND TOURISM” BY VESELIN HLEBAROV OR THE TEACHER AS AN INSPIRATION FOR THE EXPLORATION OF NATURE AND THE BENEFITS OF TOURISM

Summary/Abstract: The article examines the problem of the relationship between education and the formation of an attitude towards nature. The main role here falls to teach-ers. The main source for writing the text is the report by Veselin Khlebarov „School and Tourism“, presented to the pedagogical community in 1939. It shows the beginning of the awareness of the relationship between education and nature and the search for ways to adequately develop it in practice. A particularly suitable way is organized tourism. In other words, a good teach-er is also a prepared tourist. The implementation of tourism in the curriculum in schools will definitely bring many benefits both for the learning process and for the civic education of students.
