Summary/Abstract: In 2007, the Medieval Department of the Shumen Museum received a col-lection of about ten iron tools, found treasured in the region of the village of Zhalud, Shumen district. The collection includes mainly jewelry tools related to the processing of non-ferrous metals, some of which, mainly the larger pliers, can also be used as blacksmith tools. Predominant among them are jewelry hammers of various shapes and purposes, followed by pliers, chisels, scissors and two anvils. Most of the mentioned tools have analogies among the collection of jewelry tools from the production centers in the vicinity of Preslav, as well as from some medieval settlements and fortresses in the coun-try and abroad. It is interesting that the tools were found treasured in order to be stored and at a convenient time to be taken and taken away. It is known that the production toolkit was highly valued and carefully stored, and in case of danger promptly collected and taken away. A similar fate was suffered by this find.
