Summary/Abstract: Ancient metallurgy is a broad concept and is associated with both mining and metalworking and in many cases is evidence of their existence. The data on metal-working are indirect evidence of the development of mining. Where no metals have been extracted, but only imported metal has been processed, we talk about metalworking. The metal and its products are an important object of ancient trade. By means of these finds of the copper ore zones, the distribution of the metal in the ore-free areas have been localized, which is important for establishing synchronization between the separate regions and the absolute chronology.
