Summary/Abstract: During the interwar period, the Jews of Câmpulung county kept the economic weight they had before 1918 in the former duchy of Bucovina, a component part of the former Austria Hungary. The archival documents studied for 1927 indicate an indisputable fact: there was practically no sector of economic activity in Câmpulung County in which Jews were not involved, both in the food and non-food industries, both as craftsmen and owners. In 1927, the authorities of Câmpulung County requested the compilation of lists of the professions practiced and the existing businesses in the county, from which we can see that the proportion of Jews within them was an imposing one. This article presents an analysis and synthesis of this information.
