Summary/Abstract: This article examines Cyrillic manuscripts associated with the historical diocese of Mukachevo. The focus is onunderstanding people's spiritual and everyday lives, as well as their value systems. The sermons recorded in Cyrillic manuscripts not only teach about righteous living and call for turning to God, but also contain a number of entertaining stories that bring the listener or reader closer to the content of the Bible and detail the events of Christ's earthly life. The cycle of texts about India and Tibet and the popular perception of these locations deserves special attention. The author also examines the intercultural connections between representatives of the Byzantine-Slavic tradition and other Christian denominations, as well as their perception of non-Christian cultures.
