Summary/Abstract: The subject of this study is a photograph from the archive of Ivan Goshev, related to his trip to Egypt during the period of preparation and founding of the National Church Museum of History and Archeology in Sofia. Although the image is known, the fact that it originates from the studio of Riad Shehata – court photogra-pher of the Egyptian royal family has not been noted so far. Available data show that a small number of samples from this studio have been preserved in Bulgarian collections. The text examines two more photographs that are privately owned. They were taken in 1930 during one of the trips of Tsar Ferdinand I to Egypt.
