Summary/Abstract: This review article presents artificial intelligence (AI) development, from calculatingmachines to systems which can decide and perform semantic analysis.It describes manner in which digital systems learn, a wide range of use thesesystems and analyses the place of such systems in economy, health care, politicsand personal life. The author criticises cliché which antagonise humans and machines,and emphasises that artificial intelligence tools work as assisting technologies,cooperate with humans, simultaneously describes threats connecting withdata monopolization, limiting competition and human misuse of AI systems.
