Summary/Abstract: The review discusses Peter Stockwell’s book Cognitive Poetics. An Introduction. A principle in cognitive analysis of literature is the treatment of the text, reading, receiver and context as a whole. Such research perspective is based on the view that vast majority of literary theory notions can be linked to discoveries in cognitive sciences, the examples of which the author shows in his book.
