Summary/Abstract: This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the life and activities of Hajrullah Abdurahmanović, a Melamiye sheikh, muderris, and itinerant preacher who significantly shaped the religious, spiritual, and educational life of northeastern Bosnia during the first half of the 20th century. Drawing on available historical sources, family accounts, and contemporary documents, the paper examines his spiritual journey, education, role within the Melamiye order, and contributions to the local community in Čelić. Special attention is given to the historical context of the period, migrations, geopolitical upheavals, and the fate of the ulema following the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. The study highlights the complexity of Hajrullah’s life trajectory, his ascetic habitus, influence on his surroundings, and enduring significance within the Bosnian-Herzegovinian spiritual tradition.
