Summary/Abstract: Pursuant to Article 6 of the Decision of the Riyasat on the Establishment of Tezkiretnama — the program for the institutional commemoration of the birth anniversaries of figures significant to Islam, Muslims, and the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina — the Madzlis of the Islamic Community of Gornja Tuzla proposed two individuals for this program: Kadri-ef. Hajdarović and Husein-ef. Mujaković. While Kadri-ef. Hajdarović, originally from Gornja Tuzla, served outside his hometown, Husein-ef. Mujaković dedicated his entire life and career to his birthplace. In February 2025, 110 years passed since the birth of this imam and muallim from Gornja Tuzla Husein-ef. Mujaković, who was affectionately known among locals as Hodja Husein. He served in the Islamic Community of Gornja Tuzla for a forty-one years and two days. It is well known that even as a student, he loved to lead the prayer, and after his retirement, he continued to stand in the mihrab for several more years, as long as his health permitted. This paper explores his life and work.
