Short Description
Hikjmet was first published on April 7, 1929. It was launched and issued in Tuzla until November 1936. During that period, a total of 72 issues were published, and the owner and editor was Ibrahim Hakki Čokić.
In its second period, Hikmet was published from 1993 to 2001. The publisher was the Tuzla Muftiate, and in the those years additional 77 issues were published. In April 2001, a double issue (Nos. 148–149) was published, after which the journal once again ceased publication.
At a session held on December 29, 2022, the Tuzla Muftiate adopted a decision to renew the publication of Hikmet. The journal is now published periodically, and its profile is characterized by two mutually complementary dimensions: one theoretical and apologetic, and the other socially engaged. The first dimension is grounded in education, enlightenment, and the presentation of religious truths, while the second focuses on affirming Islamic moral norms and advocating Islamic values within the broader social sphere.
