Summary/Abstract: In the paper before us, we aim to affirm and establish what we refer to here as Theology of Religions, with a particular focus on Muslim Theology of Religions. Essentially, the paper deals with one of the most demanding theological disciplines—one that strives, through its own conceptual framework and objectives, to define its position toward the other and the different in terms of theological-philosophical ideas and doctrinal teachings. The theology of religions, in the general sense of the term, as demonstrated by the content of our work, represents a fruitful contribution of the Muslim intellectual mind, which encountered various religious and cultural traditions in its unique way and engaged in dialogue with them in a distinct and remarkably objective manner. The first serious, scientifically grounded studies addressing the phenomenon of the other and the different are the result of classical Muslim intellectual efforts. Such monumental works, theological disputations, and apologetic studies represent the avant-garde of everything that would later be rethought and elaborated—through literature itself—both in the East and in the West.
