Summary/Abstract: Fasting discipline, as a universal ecclesial prescription, is a topic that cannot be regulated at the diocesan level through particular legislation while presuming canonical regularity. Nevertheless, it can be observed that in the Transylvanian Roman Catholic diocese, regulations concerning the local handling of this matter do appear at times—whether in diocesan synodal documents or in episcopal circular letters.
