Asceticism and Eucharist

Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to clarify the theological issues related to asceticism, the Eucharist and their synthesis in ecclesiology. The topic of the salvation and deification of man is raised as a personal ascetic act, but in the eucharistic community of the body of Christ, whichwhich represents the Church. The topic is reviewed through modern, theological Orthodox thought, taking as a basis the Tradition, the Scriptures and the patristic tradition. Aspects of christology and pneumatology related to the topic are examined, as well as the understanding of canonical and charismatic boundaries of the Church.
