Summary/Abstract: The article examines the passage from chapter 4 of the Epistle of St. Ap. Paul to the Ephesians, verses 15 and 16, in order to explain the apostolic mandate to maintain and develop the church community in Ephesus through true love manifested in action, by tracing, highlighting and expounding selected patristic and theological interpretations, and drawing the corresponding conclusions , in the context of the theme of love and its role in the creation of the Church as the body of Christ.
