Summary/Abstract: St. Boris I the Baptist is one of the key figures in Bulgarian history - his acceptance of Christianity in 864-865 had a profound impact on the development of statehood, culture, writing, church organization and the identity of the Bulgarian people. In educational practice, especially at the initial stage, the need arises to convey this event not only as a historical fact, but also as a spiritual-moral message. This report aims to explore how third grade students perceive and make sense of the holy work of Boris I through an interdisciplinary approach that brings together history, literature, religion and art. The research is based on the analysis of teaching materials, observation of learning activities and modern pedagogical theories.
