Summary/Abstract: Children's fiction plays a key role in their moral education in the early stages of the education system. Through encountering a variety of literary texts, young readers not only develop their linguistic and cognitive skills, but also come into contact with important moral and social values. However, making sense of these moral messages requires a complex approach that goes beyond traditional literary-interpretive education. The interdisciplinary approach, which combines elements from different academic subjects, provides an opportunity for a deeper understanding of the value dimensions of the literary text. By integrating methods from different scientific fields, students can not only understand the plot of a given work, but also make sense of the deeper moral implications it carries.
