Summary/Abstract: Experiments in individual, authorial approaches to treating genre-specific means of expression at the beginning of the 20th and 21st centuries have been called “mixed” genres, which are particularly evident in the “diffusion of genres” — a phenomenon that involves combining several aspects of genre in a single composition. The concerto genre, which is based on competitiveness and spectacular performances, is a “favorite” component of genre diffusion in the work of composers from different eras. Konzertstück (concerto piece) can be classified as a small-scale “diffuse concerto genre” — a combination of the concerto genre with the instrumental chamber piece. B. Dubosarschi’s Konzertstück reflects not only the romantic approach to the concerto genre, but also implies, on the one hand, a monologue character and, on the other hand, the presence of a concerto element of virtuosity, rooted in Moldovan folk art.
