ИЗДАЊА ГОРСКОГ ВИЈЕНЦА У XIX ВИЈЕКУ
EDITIONS OF GORSKI VIJENAC IN THE 19TH CENTURY

Summary/Abstract: The textual analysis of the most important editions of the Gorski vijenac in the 19th century was done in the essay. Among to the first edition in Vienna from 1847, special attention is directed to the edition of Stefan Mitrov Ljubiša in Zadar from 1868, as well as to the edition of Milan Rešetar in Zagreb from 1890. The basic characteristics of the Gorski vijenac manuscript were also pointed out. The announcements of the first edition of Gorski vijenac in the journal Podunavka were shown, as well as the first critical reviews of the book after it came out of print, also in the newspaper Podunavka. Analytical attention is also focused on Nićifor Dučić’s critical reactions to Ljubiša’s edition of Gorski vijenac, in the journal Serbia (1870). The review and overall analysis of the editions of Gorski vijenac in the 19th century, which are more than twenty reprinted editions and two editions with comments, showed the great interest of the publisher and the audience in this work by Njegoš, which will represent a good assumption for the subsequent intensive publishing and textual the reception of the work in the twentieth century.
