Summary/Abstract: The research studies the place and the role of Franz von Stuck in the context of Bulgarian modernism. The object of study is the reception of the modern artist's work on the pages of the periodical press, in the critical discourse - the way he was perceived on the pages of "Hudozhnik" magazine (Alexander Bozhinov), in "Literaturno-hudozhestveni pisma ot Germaniya", 1914 (Geo Milev), in the art-critical texts of Chavdar Mutafov (in "Balgarska rech", "Literaturni novini, "Slovo", "Iztok", etc.), as well as the influence he has on modernist literature.
