Summary/Abstract: The article “Anton Mitov on the Bulgarians and Bulgarian Morals” studies the feuilleton-style and essayistic works of the artist, created in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It focuses on the topics and poetics of his works, published in periodicals, that remained largely unknown to contemporary readers. His work deserves attention because of his creativity and because of the author’s effort to contribute to the modernization of Bulgarian social and cultural morals after the Liberation in Bulgaria.
