Summary/Abstract: Considering the phenomenon of miracles in the context of science and theology, the author of the article analyzes it. The emphasis is on the relations between empirical knowledge and faith, as well as the definitions of miracles and the methods of their investigation. The author emphasizes the limitations of scientific methods in his attempt to elucidate supernatural causes, offering a variety of viewpoints, including philosophical, theological, and scientific. Citations are made to illustrate the fact that science is essential for verifying facts, but it is unable to ascertain the underlying causes, as evidenced by the Eucharistic miracle in Lanciano and the healings in Lourdes. The complementarity of science and faith is emphasized by the author, who advocates for an interdisciplinary approach that integrates empirical analysis with theological reflection. This methodology promotes communication among these disciplines and facilitates a more thorough comprehension of reality.
