Summary/Abstract: The suffering of militarized personnel and the civilian population of Srebrenik and the wider area, with a special focus on the local area of Rapatnica during the First World War, has not yet been systematically researched. This paper aims to fill this gap by using primary historical sources such as the List of Losses, Corrections and Supplements, and News on the Wounded and Sick, with the goal of reconstructing the fates of mobilized soldiers from this area. The main hypothesis of the study is that the military suffering of the population of Rapatnica largely fits into the broader patterns of Austro-Hungarian mobilization in Bosnia and Herzegovina but has specific local demographic and administrative characteristics. The research findings can serve as a foundation for further historiographical, demographic, and military studies.
