Summary/Abstract: The modern development of the maritime professional image of marine experts clearly demonstrates the need to focus scientists on updating professional standards and requirements for such personnel, because the maritime labor market is changing. Today, this issue is actual and there is a more detailed study of the problem of professional development of maritime professionals in the face of innovative change. New standards and requirements for the training of competitive maritime professionals are key indicators for ensuring the quality of educational activities in modern of higher maritime institutions. The main goal of vocational education, in particular maritime education, is to train specialists who will have acquired professional competencies and are ready for a continuous process of professional development, resistant to work in a multinational crews. In the course of pedagogical observation and personal experience, we came to the conclusion that the professional image of the future maritime specialist reflects the existing integration of external (public) and internal (self-image) characteristics that meet the standards of professional development in its formal, informal and informal education. In turn, such a complex process requires, first of all, the institution of higher maritime education constant dynamic and innovative techniques in training in a given vector. Therefore, we consider to present a classification of image technologies that are actively implemented in higher education institutions in order to form a professional image of future professionals in the maritime industry. Thus, it should be noted that our proposed pedagogical techniques can motivate students to perform a set of independent tasks aimed at enriching their knowledge, skills and abilities to integrate external (public) and internal (self-image) characteristics according to the standards of the chosen profession.
