Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study. Analysis of the specifics of recreation of Ukrainian еmigrants on the territory of interwar Czechoslovaczczyna. The methodology of research is based on the principles of specifically historical, problem-chronological approaches, objectivity and integrity, as well as on the use of methods of analysis and synthesis. The scientific novelty consists in the reproduction of the forms of recreation of Ukrainian emigrants in interwar Czechoslovaczczyna, their description and analysis. Conclusions. Because of the hardships of emigrant life, recreation was a necessary condition for getting rid of physical and moral exhaustion. The Ukrainian emigration (according to general estimates - about 20 000 people), finding themselves in interwar Czechoslovakia as a result of the defeat of the National Liberation Struggle, was forced to occupy the lowest rungs of the social ladder. This happened due to the lack of finance (capital) and its own social segment, which was dominated by the peasant component, less mobile in social terms (in emigration, the ratio of workers to peasants was 1:4.5). It was this circumstance that determined the specificity of emigration recreation. Therefore, the most common types of recreation were: free and cheapest – «cultural walks», thematic technical exhibitions, theater, sports games, sanatorium treatment, excursions.
