Summary/Abstract: The proposed article is an attempt to generalize the research of Ukrainian scientists regarding the intelligence activities and everyday life of the Murskyi family during their stay in Istanbul during 1929– 1935. Thanks to the information gathered in the intelligence reports of the "Hope" agent - Mykola Zabello - interesting details of the professional and daily life, relationships and leisure of the family are revealed. The new emphasis of research allows us to see the historical figures of those who created Ukrainian statehood 100 years ago in a different perspective, rejecting some "bronzing" and perceiving them as ordinary people with their positive and negative character traits, actions and, accordingly, the consequences of those actions. The research methodology is based on the principles of objectivity, historicism, integrity, comprehensiveness, systematicity, specifically the historical approach. The author uses methods of synthesis, analysis, as well as historical-typological, problem-chronological, and historical-comparative methods. The scientific novelty of this article consists in summarizing the information of the researches of Ukrainian scientists regarding the intelligence activities and everyday life of the Murskyi family in Istanbul during 1929–1935. and the consequences of such a combination on the activity of "Istanbul Platform". Conclusions. Professional and everyday life of the Mursky family in Istanbul during 1929–1935. illustrated by the author in a new way, based on positive and negative aspects. Among the positive ones we can include: family closeness and support, joint work on assigned tasks, psychological and everyday comfort, cooperation and joint self-realization of the family tandem of Volodymyr and Sofia in the context of the accomplishment of the "Ukrainian Cause". On the other hand: Mursky's educational, propaganda and intelligence activities, preparation of various special operations, such as the transfer of anti-Soviet, propaganda literature by Soviet steamships thanks to recruited sailors; efforts to gain autocephaly; establishing the necessary contacts with foreign intelligence, publishing pro-Ukrainian literature and representative activities required considerable investments. IN. Murskyi was actually financially supported by the Polish special services, while he also had to support his family, pay for his daughters' education in a private French grammar school, have certain representational expenses, not to mention paying for the services of recruited agents on Soviet steamships, pay for lunches and tea parties, so with given these circumstances, the search for the necessary funds became not only urgent for him, but also an extremely important aspect of intelligence activity, and, of course, in a certain sense, could not but affect the quality of intelligence work. And work on new articles, books, and documents required him to be extremely focused, physically present, and involved. That is, as an undercover journalist, he could not afford to find part-time or additional work. It is also worth noting the certain "imperial" upbringing of the head of "Platforma", the established traditions of the time, according to which the role of a woman was limited to motherhood and protecting the home hearth, while the emancipation, freedom of views and active intelligence activity of Mursky's sister-in-law - Maria Pchelinska - caused misunderstanding and misunderstanding , surprise and disregard for her achievements. In the end, analyzing the intelligence and everyday life of the Murskyi family, we can note that after rejecting the pathetic connotations, despite the significant contribution to intelligence work and sacrifice, it was an ordinary Ukrainian family, with its own problems, positive and negative qualities. And this is exactly how, in the author's opinion, Ukrainian statesmen should be viewed without "raising them to a pedestal." Like the people of their era who were giants of the Spirit, but at the same time, in the flesh, ordinary earthly people with their inherent weaknesses. In the opinion of the author, this perspective contributes to the popularization of the history of Ukraine, its realistic perception by wide circles of interested parties, further enlightenment and the formation of commemorative practices that will allow Ukrainians to build historical endurance and rely on it in the further formation of Ukrainian Statehood.
