Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the study is to analyze the scientific work of modern Ukrainian scientists on the history of the daily life of the urban population of Dnieper Ukraine in 1785–1917, clarify the state of research on the problem and determine the prospects for further scientific research. Today, domestic historical science is experiencing a surge of interest in the problems that have been called «everyday history» This is facilitated by the «anthropological turn» of historical science  the growing attention of researchers to man as the main component of the general social organism. The problems of the history of everyday life of the townspeople became the subject of scientific analysis only in the 2000s, which was caused by the departure from the narratives of imperial Soviet historical science, in which the «little man» had no place during the scientific analysis of events and phenomena, and the appearance in the Ukrainian scientific environment the latest conceptual foundations in the study of the past. This topic currently occupies a proper place in the historiographical discourse, having found a reflection in the scientific studios of almost all researchers of urban history. This is evidenced by the appearance of a considerable number of publications in which various aspects of the daily life of city dwellers in certain territorial and chronological locations are investigated. The everyday life of the urban population is studied within the framework of different historiographical approaches  general studies on the history of urban everyday life in different chronological limits; study of everyday life of citizens in certain Ukrainian regions; studying certain aspects of everyday life of the urban population. The following topics are most actively developed today: the urban environment, the material situation of the urban population, their daily life, the social and household infrastructure of urban settlements, the way of life of citizens, the national-cultural, spiritual and religious aspects of the everyday life of the Ukrainian people, their mentality, education, leisure, fashion and clothing. Important aspects of everyday life, including production and non-production spheres, private, in particular family, and public life, were not sufficiently covered. There are practically no studies of the history of urban everyday life of the end of the 18th  the first half of the 19th century. The scientific study of these questions may become the subject of future scientific research.
