Summary/Abstract: The article highlights the importance of acquiring practical Mindfulness skills for seafarers to solve psychological problems and conflicts on board, to be aware of their thoughts, emotions and experiences in every moment. Explanation of how some subtle processes in our minds are automatically activated and only increase the level of discomfort that we want to get rid of. And it is precisely because these aggravating factors act automatically and without your knowledge that concentration is required. If all this is happening deep inside the lute, it remains at a loss, alone with painful sensations. But if she manages to shed light and direct attention to these problems, they will begin to dissolve. The purpose of this article is to analyze the concept of “mindfulness” in psychology and to provide a theoretical justification for the mindfulness approach as one of the effective psychotherapeutic methods that helps seafarers in modern conditions to cope with anxiety, irritability and insomnia, as well as to realize the beauty of life. In addition, the state of mindfulness taught by meditation often allows us to find solutions to the most difficult tasks and problems in life. A mindful approach to health is especially effective in the case of chronic conditions. Awareness of the variability of one's condition leads to the opposite conclusion, which in itself is encouraging. By noticing specific moments or situations in which we feel worse or better, we can make changes in our lives. The importance of mindfulness in interpersonal relationships goes beyond the circle of friends and family. At work, it may seem that some people are smart, professional, and competent, while others are not. Some have these qualities, while others simply do not. As a result, we think that the latter need to be told what to do and refuse to learn anything they could teach us. So, learning the technique of mindful meditation is based on an interesting paradox. Mindfulness means “attention, awareness,” but when a person suffers from pain due to a chronic illness or injury, it seems that the suffering absorbs too much of their attention. A successful leader is someone who recognizes that everyone has talents, who sees their task as encouraging awareness in those they lead. The more conscious we become, the less we tend to divide our lives into parts.
