Summary/Abstract: The study analyzes the essence and semantics of the concepts of “common good”, “public good” and “public interest”. The types of common goods are considered – natural resources, public finances, social goods, cultural goods, etc. Defined as common goods are some specific objects such as future generations, all achievements of humanity, as well as the legal phenomenon itself. The common good and common goods are presented in the context of the concept of the collective rights of man and humanity. The public interest is derived as a result of satisfying legitimate interests (human needs significant for the law) protected by the established order, related to the realization of the common good. In addition to the resources of the planet necessary for the existence of humanity, humanity itself is determined in the common good as a set of separate communities and individuals. The rights of humanity as a separate, distinct collective subject of law are also common goods.
