Summary/Abstract: The oldest available sources for the ancient settlement structures of the Turks point to the Hun period. The territory of Tuva was home to the Huns, the first nomadic empire of Eurasia. The Hunssubjugation of all northern tribes is associated with their conquest policies under Chanyu Maodun. In the light of this information, it is clear that the Sayan-Altai lands were under the influence of the Huns in the mentioned periods. The dating of the Terezin cemeteries of the Hun period in Tuva was made possible by analysing the rich finds from the excavations. In addition to common ceramic vessels, iron knives and other household items, archaeologists have found here numerous unique examples of the decorative applied art of the ancient nomads. In Tuva, 4.5 km from Terezin, the Ala-Tey I cemetery was discovered, which, by the similarity of the artefacts found in this cemetery, was found to be representative of the Hun period. According to the analysis of the remains and the results of radiocarbon dating, these cemeteries are dated to the II I centuries BC. The embroidery discovered in the remains of Terezin and Ala-Tey I clearly demonstrated that the Huns were a society with advanced artistic skills. Our study aims to bring a different perspective to the early Turkish history by mentioning the importance of Terezin and Ala-Tey I graves attributed to the Hun period and the similarity of the materials obtained from these cemeteries with other Hun graves.
