Summary/Abstract: This study examines the increasingly discussed phenomenon of "quiet quitting" in the business world using text mining and lexicon-based sentiment analysis methods. Quiet quitting is defined as employees remaining physically at their workplace but avoiding extra responsibilities by exerting only minimal effort. In this research, the 25 most visited news texts on Google are analyzed, and the most frequently used terms and their sentiment analyses are extracted. As a limitation of the study, it covers the 25 most visited news texts regarding the concept of "quiet quitting" as of December 20, 2024. As a result of analyses conducted on the R Studio platform, it was determined that the words "quiet," "employees," "work," and "quitting" stood out. Reviews conducted with the NRC sentiment lexicon showed that the emotions of trust, sadness, and anticipation were dominant. Although there is a balance between positive and negative emotions, it has been observed that negative emotions related to employee dissatisfaction and burnout occupy a significant place. The findings obtained indicate that quiet quitting should not be evaluated merely as an individual attitude, but rather as a phenomenon that affects corporate dynamics and threatens the sustainability of businesses. The study reveals that quiet quitting is a critical factor affecting the sustainability of businesses, beyond being an individual preference.
