The Effect of Organizational Change Cynicism on The Digital Transformation of Institutions: A Research on Administrative Staff

Summary/Abstract: The present study aims to determine the effect of organizational employees’ perception of organizational change cynicism on the digital transformation phenomenon carried out in institutions in line with the requirements of age. The results obtained in this study, conducted on administrative staff working at Ordu University and Giresun University, were analyzed by frequency and percentage analysis, ANOVA, and t-test, followed by correlation and then regression analyses through SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). The analysis revealed that there is a significant and negative relationship between all sub-dimensions of organizational change cynicism and the digital transformation of organizations. It was determined that all sub-dimensions of organizational change cynicism negatively affect corporate digital transformation. Due to the fact that the concept of corporate digital transformation and providing competitive advantage is extremely important, taking all measures such as adapting to the requirements of the age, and being open to change and development to get rid of the phenomenon of organizational change cynicism, that is, the negative perspective that exists against all kinds of changes and transformations that have been and/or will be experienced in the organization within the technological, economic, social, etc. conditions of the day, is very important and must be implemented to ensure sustainability.
