Summary/Abstract: The practice of customs activities demonstrates that international postal shipments differ in their legal status from national postal shipments sent between rural localities located within the territory of the Republic of Moldova. The legal status of international postal shipments (IPS) differs from domestic postal shipments in that, when transported across the customs border of the state—both upon entry into the country and when sent from the national territory—they are subject to customs control. Thus, these shipments, when transported across the state’s customs border, acquire the status of international postal shipments (IPS).
