Summary/Abstract: In the context of consumer rights protection, the Republic of Moldova has put in place a legislative framework designed to ensure a balance between consumers' rights and the economic interests of goods and services providers. The defence of consumer rights is therefore not only an obligation of the state, but an essential element of a functioning market economy. National legislation, also inspired by international consumer protection rules, has continuously evolved to respond to economic and social challenges. Thus, the analysis of Moldova's legislation in the field of consumer protection reflects a constant concern for alignment with international standards in order to ensure a safe and fair consumer environment, it is also worth mentioning that the theoretical and practical importance is obvious, while the entire activity of consumer protection gravitates in ensuring effective consumer protection mechanisms.
