Summary/Abstract: Contemporary mobility and migration of Italians to Bulgaria is a phenomenon which develops rapidly. An important aspect here are not just the reasons and circumstances leading to it, but also the conditions and the problems of the inscription of the Italians in their respective society of immigration. The examples from the interviews and dialogues with Italians reveal the social and economic conditions which encouraged some of them to choose Bulgaria as their country of living, study and work. Special attention is paid to the importance of the international reputation of Italy for the welcoming of the Italians in our country, to intercultural comparisons, as well as to cases of intercultural communication.
