Summary/Abstract: On December 10th — a date emblematic for the affirmation of human rights within the normative framework of international law — last year, the Human Rights Center of the Faculty of Law at the University of Bucharest organized the conference “After 30 Years. The Impact of the European Convention on Human Rights on the Consolidation of Democracy in Romania,” in order to mark the 30th anniversary of Romania’s accession to the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (hereinafter referred to as the European Convention on Human Rights), ratified by Law no. 30/1994, published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 135/31.05.1994.
