Summary/Abstract: This article aims to highlight the feelings and contribution of Grand Rabbi Alexandru Șafran towards the Romanian people and Romania. For this, I have resorted to written documents that prove Grand Rabbi’s feelings of attachment and love towards the places where he was born and where he led the Jewish community during perhaps the most difficult period in its history, when it was threatened with extinction. The work is all the more current since, at the time of writing, the Romanian far right has returned in force to the political scene.
