Summary/Abstract: The article summarises the second edition of the International Mediation Writing Competition (IMWC), organized in Romania by the Weinstein International Foundation (WIF). The article reflects on the various capacity building events that took place to benefit the students and promote the mediation practice. The competition was based on the abilities of the students to draft a Mediation Brief to be submitted to the mediator that should have reflected the own client’s perspective, arguments and options for settlement. The mediation brief, which in part must be shared by the mediator with the other party, had to be drafted around a dispute between several tech start-up founders and the related intellectual property rights. The competition and the 1,000 USD award were won in Romania by a student of the Faculty of Law within the University from Craiova and was supported by KPMG Legal – Toncescu și Asociații.
