Summary/Abstract: The article deals with house searches and searches of other premises and land as a criminalistic method and use in the investigation of drug crime. Attention is paid to aspects in providing forensically relevant information, forensic traces and the procedure before the house search. The article presents the procedure for the implementation of a house search in terms of forensic tactics. Emphasis is placed on the need for the correct choice of the required institute of inspection in relation to the object of interest and the importance of proper justification of the urgency and non-repeatability of the act, if inspections are to be carried out before criminal proceedings are instituted. In conclusion, the authors express their opinion on improving the implementation of the house search and suggestions for streamlining the procedure.
