Summary/Abstract: Two Bede's homilies (In die Natali Sancti Ioannis, In die festo Innocentium), which were read during the Christmas part of Temporal cycle of the breviary are written in Berčić's Glagolitic fragments (Berč. I/7, Berl I/8), which were found on the island of Prvić, the former centre of Glagolitism in Šibenik area. The fragments date from the late 13th or early 14th century. These homilies are rare in the Croatian Glagolitic liturgical corpus and their appearance is a sign of keeping the older tradition of selecting homiletic lessons. Apart from these fragments, a more frequent selection of Bede's homilies can only be found in some Glagolitic breviaries (Vb1, Pt, Ber2). In this paper, two of Bede's homilies in Berčić's fragments are analysed and transliterated together with the version from the other two or three breviaries. The study proves that the homiletic corpus preserved in the Glagolitic fragments significantly improves our overall knowledge of the earliest Croatian Glagolitic liturgical tradition.
