Drugs in postal consignments

Summary/Abstract: The article describes the illicit trade with narcotic and psychotropic substances which is usually carried out within the online environment and completed by delivering a consignment containing drugs. This very topical issue is analyzed by the author from the professional point of view and from his own work experience as a member of the anti-drug department of the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic. The department, among other competencies, carries out investigations of this specific form of drug crime. This type of crime is characterized by terms such as anonymousness of the perpetrator, virtual environment, cryptocurrencies, distribution of drugs via postal consignments, cross-border element of crime and international judicial cooperation.
