Summary/Abstract: This study examines the contribution of the Institute of School Brothers (FSC – Fratrum Scholarum Christianarum) to the Slovak education system, focusing on their work at the State Educational Institute in Slovenska Lupca from 1939 to 1948. It details their activities, teaching methods, and success in educating and rehabilitating "lost" boys and young men. The study profiles significant School Brothers—teachers and instructors—and their fates under the communist regime. The paper concludes with the communist suppression of the School Brothers' activities at the Institute in 1945 and 1948/49, and the subsequent dissolution of their congregations in 1950.
