What are the Chances of Rational Discussion? A Reply to Ján Mlynárik

Summary/Abstract: The reviewer is surprised that Mlynárik has called his claims lies without demonstrating a need to support his own arguments with facts. Referring to similar cases of criticism of plagiarized works in Slovak historiography, the reviewer stands by the claims that he made in the review. Concerning Mlynárik’s claim about the origin of Dějiny Židů na Slovensku, the reviewer adds that Mlynárik’s RFE series on the history of the Jews in Slovakia was broadcast well before the publication of some of the books from which he borrowed whole passages for his Dějiny without citing authorship.
