Summary/Abstract: This article once again opens the doors of the Willem C. Vis moot competition to the world and presents the main legal issues tackled by the 2024-2025 Problem. The procedural challenges brought by the Respondent this year refer to the mandatory character of mediation as a pre-condition for arbitration when the parties agreed to a multi-tier dispute resolution clause. An additional point of procedure was the admissibility of evidence obtained illegally and of “without prejudice” documents. The merits of the case tested the limits of the CISG when its application was invoked in a contract for the purported sale of a green energy plant. Finally, this article attempts to briefly introduce the most successful moments of the students representing the University of Bucharest in the 2025 Willem C. Vis international competition and shed some light on all those involved in the team’s results.
