Summary/Abstract: This article is a review of the book The ecumenical vision of Holy Priest Confessor Dumitru Stăniloae. Existential, theological and ecclesiastical aspects (bilingual edition), signed by Daniele Cogoni and Anca Mariana Nechita. Given that each stage of Father Dumitru Stăniloae’s life had a relevant impact on his theological and spiritual argumentation, this volume offers us the opportunity to learn about biographical aspects, starting with his childhood, studies and activity. The two authors of the book clearly emphasize an essential aspect, namely that Father Dumitru is seen in the West as a true ecumenical theologian, although deeply and firmly rooted in his own Romanian tradition. This new edition of the volume is completed with four inedited texts by Father Stăniloae. The first is a published homily entitled „Pray One for Another”, to which are added three letters from Father Dumitru Stăniloae to his Anglican friend Donald Allchin. The volume presents some previously unpublished family photographs received from Dumitru Horia Ionescu, the grandson of Father Dumitru Stăniloae.
